Autopilot Workspaces and Panels

In this lesson, we'll focus on the first tab and its "Script" and "Editor" panels. This couple is essentially a visual editor for your automation.

Autopilot's interface is a composition of workspaces that accommodate panels. Each panel serves a distinct purpose. You can stack things vertically or horizontally - the layout is entirely down to your preference.

The Script panel is a tree representation of automation. On the top level, it looks like a list of contexts. There is always the <main> context (the entry point), and typically, a few additional contexts. The switch from a context to context happens according to the rules that we explain in the context matching lesson.

Context holds actions. Some actions can nest sub-actions. The order of items in the Script panel illustrates how the flow goes.

In the Script panel, you can select one node of the tree at a time. The chosen node, context or action, becomes configurable via the Editor panel and executable by the player.
