Learning How to Share State Between Actions
There are two main types of automation: transactions, e.g. pizza order or product purchase, and data extraction (scraping and crawling). Transactional automation is sequential: context after context, action-by-action it fills in all the forms moving from screen to screen until the end of the Script.
In the case of data extraction, the process might involve a few rounds around the content. You might want to visit a few pages, entering the same context multiple times, filling in your pockets with various pieces of information before the Script is ready to produce the final output. Here is where you reach for the shared state management tools.
This section aims to introduce you to actions and pipes that host the data making it available for all the interested parties.
